Since 1901, graduates of Christian College and Columbia College haver participated in the outdoor ceremony. Students form a circle with a chain of ivy to symbolize class unity. At the end of the ceremony, the ivy is cut between graduates to demonstrate a new phase of life.- Friends special sesquicentennial issue
