The first horsemanship class was started by Carolyn Reed Drew at Christian College in 1927. Eagle Rock Farm on Highway 63 was purchased in 1945 as the Christian College Riding Farm. The program was discontinued in 1964 and the farm sold due to declining student interest and expenses.
